The National Labor Relations Board has ruled that Amazon must negotiate with the union that represents thousands of workers at a company warehouse on Staten Island, New York.
The Amazon Labor Union, which formed in 2022 and has since allied with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, is seeking discussions over pay and working conditions.
The NLRB said Amazon's refusal to recognize the union's legitimacy amounted to "unfair labor practices." The e-commerce giant indicated it would appeal the decision; it's also previously argued that the NLRB itself is unconstitutional.
