Financial Accountant (Audit Background)Ready to take your audit expertise into a commercial finance role?We're looking for a qualified Financial Accountant who wants to move beyond professional practice and become part of a growing commercial business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone trained within a Big 4 or leading accountancy firm who enjoys the technical side of accounting but is keen to see the real-world impact of their work within an operational environment.You'll play a key role in financial reporting, audit management, and technical accounting while working closely with senior finance stakeholders across the business.What You'll Be DoingSupporting the production of monthly management accountsSupervision of Purchase Ledger teamSuperuser for Microsoft Dynamics systemOwner and Expert of the Professional Service Practice financial reportingReviewing and analysing profit and loss performanceManaging lease accounting and IFRS compliancePreparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliationsPerforming revenue recognition analysis and reportingCoordinating the annual external audit processSupporting and enhancing internal audit activities and controlsPreparing group reporting submissionsManaging intercompany reconciliations and transactionsProviding technical accounting support across the finance functionContributing to finance improvement projects and ad hoc initiativesWhat We're Looking ForFully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)Strong audit background gained within a Big 4 or leading accountancy practiceExperience auditing financial services, financial institutions, or complex corporate environmentsStrong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting standardsExcellent analytical skills and attention to detailA proactive approach and desire to build a career within industryWhy Join Us?This role offers the ideal first or second move from practice into industry, providing exposure to a broad range of financial accounting and commercial finance activities.You'll have the opportunity to:Apply your technical accounting expertise in a commercial settingGain visibility across a dynamic business operationWork closely with senior finance leaders and decision-makersBuild a long-term career beyond audit and consultingInfluence processes, controls, and financial reporting improvementsIf you're looking to leverage your audit training while gaining broader commercial experience, we'd love to hear from you.
