Fleet Executive Director

Executive Leadership Develop and execute the overall fleet management strategy aligned with company objectives. Lead fleet departments and drive organizational performance improvements. Oversee operational plans and future fleet expansion. Monitor operational KPIs and report performance to senior management. Fleet Operations Management Direct fleet maintenance and vehicle management operations. Oversee spare parts, procurement, and warehouse operations. Ensure maximum fleet availability and readiness. Manage the full vehicle lifecycle from acquisition to disposal. Improve fleet utilization and minimize downtime. Lead productivity and service quality improvement initiatives. Contracts & Vendor Management Lead all vehicle and related service contracting activities. Approve technical specifications and purchase requests. Manage tenders, RFPs, and supplier negotiations. Select and evaluate vendors based on quality, cost, and performance. Ensure compliance with SLAs and contractual obligations. Conduct performance reviews and implement corrective actions. Human Resources & Organizational Development Participate in hiring senior leadership and department managers. Develop the organizational structure in line with business growth. Support succession planning and talent development. Enhance technical and managerial competencies across the organization. Financial Management Prepare and manage the annual fleet budget. Monitor operating and maintenance costs. Lead cost-optimization and efficiency initiatives. Conduct feasibility studies for fleet expansion and renewal projects. Compliance & Governance Ensure compliance with government regulations and company policies. Oversee quality, health, and safety standards. Manage operational risks and mitigation plans. Develop fleet-related policies and procedures. Digital Transformation & Analytics Lead digital transformation initiatives within fleet operations. Develop executive dashboards and performance metrics. Utilize data analytics to drive operational and strategic decisions. Oversee fleet tracking, maintenance, and management systems.

Requirements

Education Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. MBA or Master's degree in Operations Management or Logistics is preferred. Professional certifications in Project Management, Supply Chain, or Fleet Management are considered an advantage. Experience Minimum 12 years of experience in fleet management, transportation, vehicle leasing, or logistics. Minimum 8 years in a senior leadership role. Proven experience managing large-scale fleets. Strong background in contracts, tenders, and supplier negotiations. Experience managing multi-functional teams and multiple branches. Demonstrated success in digital transformation and operational excellence initiatives.
