VP of Operations - Manufacturing Loves Park, IL area - Relocation Assistance Up to $235K base salary + Bonus Summary Our client, a growing manufacturing company producing complex, technically demanding components for industrial customers, is seeking a hands-on VP of Operations to lead day-to-day manufacturing, supply chain, and operational performance.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering strongly preferred 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations Proven background in supply chain and materials management Demonstrated hands-on leadership style with regular, visible presence on the shop floor Experience operating in complex, custom, low-volume production environments with tight tolerances and demanding quality requirements Strong track record applying Lean/continuous improvement methodologies (Kaizen, Six Sigma, 5S, OEE improvement, waste reduction) to drive measurable operational results Demonstrated success growing or scaling a manufacturing operation's revenue, output, or footprint over time Strong team leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Responsibilities Own full P&L accountability for manufacturing operations, including production, quality, supply chain, and materials management Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve throughput, quality, delivery, and cost Partner closely with the President and executive team on strategic growth initiatives
