Senior Accountant

A leading agriculture company is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage accounting operations, financial reporting, cost analysis, and month-end closing activities. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial records, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide financial insights to support business decisions.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including GL, AP, AR, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Handle month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Monitor and analyze agricultural production costs, including labor, fertilizers, seeds, pesticides, irrigation, and other farm-related expenses.
• Prepare cost analysis and variance reports for different farms/crops.
• Monitor inventory movements and conduct regular inventory reconciliations and physical counts.
• Maintain accurate records of fixed assets and depreciation.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow planning.
• Ensure compliance with Egyptian accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide the required supporting documents.
• Review accounting transactions and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
• Supervise junior accountants and review their work.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to management to support business decisions.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of all agricultural and operational transactions.
