Our client is seeking an experienced Property Maintenance Officer to join the Port Elizabeth team, Conduct routine inspections of commercial properties to identify maintenance requirements and ensure assets are well maintained Coordinate and attend meetings with contractors and service providers, including security, cleaning, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance teams Source, evaluate, and compare quotations for maintenance and repair work, providing recommendations for approval Plan, coordinate, and oversee maintenance projects, ensuring completion within agreed budgets, timelines, and quality standards Inspect completed work and verify that all repairs and maintenance meet required specifications before authorising invoices for payment Build and maintain effective working relationships with contractors and service providers Manage and coordinate a range of maintenance services Act as the primary point of contact for tenant maintenance enquiries and service requests Investigate maintenance concerns and assess property damage where required Coordinate repair work and ensure tenant issues are resolved effectively and timeously Assist in determining landlord and tenant maintenance responsibilities in accordance with lease agreements Respond to emergency maintenance situations and coordinate after-hours contractor support when necessary Maintain an accurate key register for vacant units and premises Conduct inspections of vacant properties and ensure units remain in a presentable and lettable condition Show available properties to prospective tenants when required Carry out exit inspections and ensure reinstatement obligations are fulfilled in accordance with lease terms Coordinate insurance surveys and communicate relevant requirements to tenants Manage insurance claims from initial notification through to final settlement Obtain all supporting documentation required for claims, including police case numbers where applicable Complete and submit insurance claim documentation to insurers and monitor claim progress

Requirements Grade 12 Diploma in Property Management, Facilities Management, Building Management, Construction Management, Project Management, Real Estate or a related field Property-related industry courses or certifications would be advantageous 3 to 5 years' experience in property maintenance, facilities management, property management, or a similar role Experience coordinating contractors and service providers across multiple properties Experience obtaining quotations, managing maintenance budgets, and overseeing repair projects Experience conducting property inspections and compiling inspection reports Valid drivers license
