An exciting and fast-growing IT Solutions company is seeking a motivated Junior IT Technician to join their technical support team in Port Elizabeth. This role is ideal for a candidate with a passion for technology, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. The successful candidate will provide first-line support to end-users, assist with desktop and network troubleshooting, and support a variety of IT infrastructure environments.
Responsibilities: Provide first-line technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and related hardware. Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and Microsoft applications. Respond to user support requests and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Assist with user account administration, password resets, and Microsoft 365 support. Configure and deploy new workstations, peripherals, and software applications. Support network infrastructure, including basic troubleshooting of LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN connectivity issues. Maintain accurate documentation of support tickets, resolutions, and IT assets. Escalate complex technical issues to senior technicians when required.
Requirements Grade 12. 1+ year of IT support or helpdesk experience. Relevant IT qualification, certificate, or diploma will be advantageous. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365. Understanding of computer hardware, networking fundamentals, and troubleshooting techniques. Knowledge of Active Directory and user account management will be advantageous. Valid driver's license and own reliable transport (Advantageous). Strong communication and customer service skills.
